How wood pellet cat litter works
Wood pellets are naturally absorbent. When your cat uses its litter tray, the pellets absorb the liquid and gradually break down into sawdust.
Remove solid waste regularly and remove or sift out the wet, broken-down litter as required. Top up the tray with fresh pellets to maintain a clean layer of litter.
Because the pellets only begin to break down once they become wet, many cat owners find wood pellet litter an economical alternative to conventional cat litter.
How much will I receive?
Your 30kg order contains two separate 15kg bags of wood pellet cat litter.
We pack both bags inside a sturdy outer box for delivery. Splitting the order into two bags also makes the litter considerably easier to lift, pour and store than a single 30kg sack.
What's included in the price?
The price includes VAT and UK delivery to your home.
About our wood pellets
Our cat litter is made from compressed mixed-hardwood pellets with no artificial fragrances added.
The pellets are ENplus A1 certified, a quality standard covering the manufacture and characteristics of wood pellets. ENplus A1 is a wood-fuel quality certification and does not specifically certify products for use as cat litter.
Frequently asked questions
How do I use wood pellet cat litter?
Add a layer of pellets to a clean, dry litter tray. Remove solid waste regularly. As wet pellets absorb moisture, they break down into sawdust, which can be removed or sifted from the remaining dry pellets. Add fresh pellets as required.
Do wood pellets clump?
No. Wood pellet litter works differently from traditional clumping litter. The pellets absorb liquid and break down when wet rather than forming a solid clump. They are non-tracking and won't make a mess on your floors.
